- Safety:
Delia supports continuing to hire 200
police officers per year for public safety
and will fight to keep Dallas safe.
- Protecting
Seniors: Delia will advocate for increasing
senior citizens' property tax exemption
from $64,000 to $100,000 a current city
initiative. As the economy improves, Delia
supports a property tax freeze for senior
citizens.
- Development:
Delia supports quality development with
new ways of design. She will work on connecting
the dots between Pinnacle Park to Lake
Cliff Towers to Bishop Arts to Jefferson
Blvd to Westmoreland and Illinois. Delia
will continue to work on TIFs, PIDs and
MMDs as tools for the right development.
- Code
Enforcement: Delia will work with
Code Enforcement Department staff to include
neighborhood input. Historic and conservation
districts need code officers who understand
these special areas. Delia will work to
strengthen programs to keep Dallas beautiful.
- Green
Initiatives: Delia will work with
initiatives to promote the Green Leader
program in each neighborhood association.
Recycling, community gardens and water
and energy conservation are programs Delia
is ready to strengthen.
